Sketch Commission Examples

Sketch Commission Prices

Base Sketch Fee: £30
A simple shoulders-up portrait of your character.Armour/Clothing Detail: + £7
Add some armour or clothing details to your character! These will also only be from the shoulder up.Additional Designs: + £5
Add unique features and designs to the sketch, this can be anything like detailed jewellery, scars and tattoos, or other complex markings or features like horns or scales! These will usually be grouped together as a single charge, though this may vary for exceptionally complicated design features.

Commission Form

Please provide a contact email if yours is different to the email you use for Paypal.Please provide links to reference material! This can include art, photos, or pinterest/vision boards. If no references are available, please include a detailed written description of your character. Armour, clothing, complicated jewellery, scars, tattoos and other markings will increase the base price of a sketch portrait - details of this can be found here.If you provide your social media handle and platform, I can tag you when posting the finalised portrait if you would like.

How does the commission process work?

First, of course, you'll apply for a commission. It may take up to 30 days for commission approval based on availability.

  • If sufficient reference material/description of the character is submitted, you will receive an email accepting your commission request application.

  • You will receive an invoice and will be required to pay within 48 hours of receiving my email.

  • When payment is received, I will begin sketching your character!

  • You will receive an initial rough sketch via email, which will require your approval before continuing to the next stage. Minor edits can be made upon discussion at this point for no additional cost.

  • No refunds are to be provided after your approval of the rough sketch phase.

  • Under regular conditions, portraits will be completed within 30 days of payment being received. I will contact and notify you in the case of any changes, or in the case of a refund due to external circumstances.

  • Finally, you will receive a high resolution image file and a watermarked version for sharing.

  • I will also post the sketch to social media platforms where you can be tagged if you wish, you can provide your social media handles and preferred platforms in the Commision application form.

Terms and Disclaimers

  • I retain the rights to all art that I produce.

  • I reserve the right to print and/or sell all of my art pieces, including personal and commissioned work unless discussed beforehand.

  • I reserve the right to decline any application for a commission. I may not accept requests that I feel might not fit my skills or style, and will cancel any projects where a client is abusive.

  • I reserve the right to refund projects at any time. Clients will always be duly notified and informed in this case.

  • Artwork produced for commissions may be published on social media as part of my personal portfolio.

  • The art commissioned here is for your personal use only, not commercial use. You may not resell it, edit it, remove my signature, use it for merchandise or claim it as your own.

  • None of my artwork is permitted to be used or sold as NFTs, nor for any Artificial Intelligence usage such as model training.

  • If you repost the artwork you commission - please tag @ehlaera, and only share the watermarked version.

  • Pets and companions are not included in the initial portrait pricing, I am willing to discuss such additions where appropriate for an additional cost which may vary by the complexity of the addition.

  • I am most comfortable drawing humanoid characters and can add elf/animal/alien ears or features.

  • Female characters are my preference and what I am most comfortable and experienced with, but I also draw male characters.

  • All prices currently listed may be subject to change in the future.
